Phi Alpha Delta
Phi Alpha Delta was more than a Pre-Law Fraternity, it was a family. During my time in Phi Alpha Delta I was able to learn about different law schools through lectures from university like St. Thomas and Florida State. I was able to experience debating on topics from different perspectives and how to become a better candidate for Law School.
Sigma Iota Rho
Sigma Iota Rho Honor Society was my home away from home. The individuals I have met have become friends who I have conversations about the social injustice taking place to why food insecurity has roots in the dependency theory. Our advisor Dr. Washington help me secure my AmeriCorps position by creating a mock interview with me. The reason I am confident in my global understanding is because of this organization.
Global Learning Transformation Contest
I was selected to participate in a transformative international and intercultural experience trip to Washington D.C. I decided to use my college struggle of eating Ramen Noodle to compare to struggles children face in Haiti. We were suppose to participate in several informational and networking sessions at federal government agencies and non-governmental organizations. Due to Covid-19, the trip was postpone, but I am grateful to have been selected and I can not wait to participate.
