Hello,

My name is Fritzmagda Martial but I prefer to go Magda, my dad loved the name Fritz. I am a senior at Florida International University (FIU) majoring in Political Science and International Relations. The summer of my senior year I was accepted into the Honors College. 

I was born in New York but I have also lived in Haiti and Florida. 

As a second generation Haitian immigrant I understand the need to be globally aware and having the privileged to live in two different countries inspired me pursue a major and programs like the Global Learning Medallion to broaden my horizon on issues that affect us locally and globally such as poverty, social injustice and human rights.

I am currently a program assistant at FIU Women's Center where we promote gender equity through programs such as the Women Who Lead Conference. After graduation I will be doing a year of service with Literacy AmeriCorps teaching English and then I will be starting law school Fall 2022  with aspiration of becoming a Human Rights or Immigration Lawyer.
